Nachi3D Labs mobile apps: BookTrack, GameTrack and MangaTrack

Last updated: 9 October 2026

These apps are made by Seàn McGannon, trading as Nachi3D Labs. This page explains, in plain words, what happens to the information you put into them. The short answer: it stays on your phone.

The short version

  • No account. You never sign up to use any of these apps.
  • No analytics, no ads, no tracking.
  • Your data is never sold, rented or shared with anyone for marketing.
  • Nachi3D Labs runs no server that stores your data.

What stays on your phone

Everything you record (your books, games or manga, shelves, ratings, notes, progress and loans) is stored in a database on your phone. It does not leave the phone unless you choose to back it up, export it, or turn on Google Drive sync.

Uninstalling an app, or clearing its data in Android settings, deletes everything it stored on the phone. Backup files you export are yours: they go wherever you send them.

Optional Google Drive sync

BookTrack can keep a copy of your library in your own Google Drive, so you can move to a new phone. Sync is off until you turn it on. GameTrack and MangaTrack do not offer it today; if they add it, it will work the same way and this page will say so.

Sync uses one Google permission only: drive.appdata. That gives the app a hidden folder in your Drive that only this app can read and write. It cannot see, open or change any other file in your Drive. The copy travels straight from your phone to Google. It does not pass through any Nachi3D Labs server, and Nachi3D Labs cannot see it.

When you sign in, Google also tells the app your account email address. The app uses it only to show which account is connected. It stays on your phone.

To stop syncing: in the app, open Settings → Sync with Google Drive → Disconnect this phone. Your Drive copy stays where it is.

To delete the Drive copy: on drive.google.com, open Settings → Manage apps, find the app, then choose Options → Delete hidden app data.

Google's own privacy policy covers how Google stores your Drive.

Searching for titles

When you search for a title online, the app sends only the text you typed (or the id of the title you picked) to a public catalogue. No name, account or device identifier is added.

  • BookTrack does not search online today. When book lookup is added, it will use Open Library in the same way: search text only.
  • GameTrack searches IGDB through a small proxy we run on Cloudflare Workers. The proxy holds the API key so it is not built into the app. It does not store your searches. Cloudflare keeps standard request logs (such as IP address and time) for a limited period, which we use only to keep the service running.
  • MangaTrack searches AniList.

Cover images load directly from these catalogues, which see your IP address the way any website you visit does.

People you lend to (BookTrack)

When you record a loan, you type the borrower’s name and, if you like, a contact note. That stays on your phone, and in your own Drive folder only if you turn sync on. Nachi3D Labs never receives it.

From a person’s page you can export everything recorded about them as a file, edit their details, and archive them. A person with no loans, donations or lent collections can be deleted outright. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes everyone.

Notifications

GameTrack can remind you about release dates. These reminders are scheduled on your phone. No push server is involved and no notification token leaves the device.

Sharing

Nachi3D Labs does not sell, rent or share your data. The only outside services the apps talk to are the ones named on this page (Google Drive if you turn it on, and the title catalogues), and only for the purpose described.

Other Nachi3D Labs products

Duomi, the household app, works differently: it has accounts and syncs through a server. It has its own Duomi privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

If an app starts handling data differently, this page is updated before that version is released, and the date at the top changes.
